Looking for the perfect summer Friday night? The kind where you’re not just grabbing quick dinner before heading home exhausted, but actually going out properly? We’ve got just the thing! Tina T’s back at The Clarendon on Friday 10th July with her Motown show, and this time we’re starting in the garden at 5pm with DJ Soul Boy Jim.
What’s Happening?
The evening kicks off in the garden from 5pm. DJ Soul Boy Jim’s creating the atmosphere, the marquee bar’s open, and you can arrive when it suits you rather than rushing from work straight to dinner tables. It’s that transition between the work week and weekend that most places skip, but makes the whole evening feel different.
A scrumptious three-course dinner follows at 7pm in the Meridian Restaurant – delicious food, not rushed, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available throughout the menu. Then Tina T’s show begins with special guest saxophonist Oli Arlotto.
£49 per person covers garden access from 5pm, DJ, three-course dinner, and the show.
Why Tina T’s Worth Seeing
If you’ve been to one of Tina T’s evenings before, you know what to expect. She featured on BBC1’s “All Together Now” and delivers proper Motown – Diana Ross and The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson – all the greats! Not background music or karaoke covers, but authentic performance that creates an atmosphere to remember.
Motown works across generations. Parents remember it originally, their kids know it from films, and even teenagers can recognise most of it. When it’s performed live by someone who actually knows what they’re doing, combined with Oli Arlotto’s saxophone, it makes going out worthwhile.
Book Soon
These nights sell out. Tina T’s shows are popular and adding the garden element on a July Friday when weather looks good means tables go quickly. People often wait thinking they’ll book closer to the date, only to find everything’s gone.
Don’t be that person!
