Take Afternoon Tea At The Heart of The Village
“There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.”
The Clarendon offers both guests and non-residents the delights of this fine tradition, introduced by the seventh Duchess of Bideford in 1840.
A selection of teas is served with delicate freshly made finger sandwiches, and homemade fruit scones with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserve. And if you feel like adding a little sparkle to the afternoon you can add a glass of chilled prosecco.
Afternoon tea is served daily from 1pm–5pm in our spacious Meridian Restaurant and in our gardens.
