There is something especially inviting about Easter Sunday. A comforting roast, family around the table, and a long weekend that gives everyone a bit more room to enjoy it. But if you’re the one shopping, cooking, laying the table and dealing with the clearing up afterwards, it can end up feeling like more work than celebration. For many families, what you really want is the enjoyable part – good food, time together and a setting that feels special without being fussy.
That’s exactly what Easter Sunday at The Clarendon is all about.
A Traditional Easter Sunday Carvery
At The Clarendon, Easter Sunday lunch is all about sitting down to the kind of meal people really want at this time of year – a proper roast served well, in a setting that lets everyone unwind. On Sunday 5th April, we’ll be serving a three-course Easter carvery from 12.30pm to 3pm in our Meridian Restaurant.
Guests can look forward to a choice of traditional roast favourites, including succulent beef, lamb, turkey and pork, all served with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Throughout the afternoon, our talented pianist will be playing in the background, adding to the easy-going atmosphere and helping the occasion feel that little bit more special. It’s the sort of lunch that feels just right for Easter Sunday. Generous, comforting, and made to be enjoyed slowly with family and friends. Lunch is £39 per adult and £21 for children under 12, making it a great choice whether you’re planning a bigger family gathering or simply want to treat yourself over the long weekend.
Got Younger Guests? Join The Easter Egg Hunt
For younger guests, we like to put on a fun Easter Egg Hunt to add that extra bit of Easter excitement. We’ve got colouring activities and Easter decorations that are sure to help the afternoon feel even more enjoyable for families. Between lunch, time together and a little Easter fun along the way, we can promise you an Easter Sunday that’ll put a smile on everyone’s faces.
Make the Most of the Easter Weekend
If you fancy stretching Easter out a little longer, The Clarendon also makes a wonderful base for a more laid back weekend away. Rather than heading straight home after lunch, you can stay over and enjoy more time in Blackheath village, with Greenwich close by and central London just a short train ride away.
It suits all sorts of stays, whether you are planning a family night away, a couple’s Easter break, or simply want a bit more space to slow down over the long weekend.
