Big Nights at The O2 Arena This August – And Why You’ll Want to Stay at The Clarendon

August is shaping up to be a huge month at The O2 Arena, with some of the world’s biggest artists and most-anticipated live shows landing in London. K-pop superstars, intimate acoustic sets, high-energy performances, and wrestling spectacles that’ll have fans buzzing for months. If you’ve got tickets for any of these shows, you’re about to witness something pretty special.

But (and it’s a big but!) the real test of a great night out isn’t just the show itself – it’s how you feel the next morning. Are you knackered from battling transport at midnight, or are you still riding the high because you didn’t have to stress about getting home?

The Clarendon Hotel in Blackheath sits just 15 minutes from The O2, making it ridiculously easy to turn your concert ticket into a proper weekend celebration.

Here’s what August has in store and why these particular shows deserve more than just a dash for the last train.

JIN – #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR

Tuesday 5 & Wednesday 6 August 2025 | Doors open 6pm
Book tickets

When a BTS member goes solo, you know it’s going to be something special. Jin’s bringing his RUNSEOKJIN tour to London for two nights, promising the kind of production values and emotional connection that K-pop does better than anyone else. Expect visuals that’ll have you reaching for your phone, ballads that hit right in the feels, and an audience that knows every lyric by heart.

Whether you’re travelling specially for this or making it a friends’ night out, the smart money’s on not rushing home afterwards. Instead of joining the post-show transport scrum, you could be decompressing in peaceful Blackheath, probably still processing what you just witnessed.

Shawn Mendes – Europe 2025 Tour

Saturday 16 August 2025 | Doors 6.30 pm
Book tickets

Shawn Mendes returns with what promises to be his most intimate tour yet. This isn’t the stadium spectacle you might expect – it’s guitar-led, emotional, and designed to make even The O2’s vast space feel personal. If you’ve had “Treat You Better” on repeat (and let’s be honest, who hasn’t?), this one’s for you.

Saturday night concerts have their own magic, don’t they? Turn it into a proper weekend celebration – dinner in Blackheath village beforehand, the show, then a comfortable night without worrying about transport home. Sometimes the best gigs deserve the full treatment.

ENHYPEN – World Tour ‘WALK THE LINE’

Friday 22 August 2025 | Doors 6 pm
Book tickets

ENHYPEN represents everything brilliant about K-pop right now – incredible vocals, choreography that defies physics, and stage production that’ll leave you wondering how they pulled it off. Their fans are legendarily devoted, so expect an atmosphere that’s part concert, part celebration.

It’s Friday night, which in our opinion screams “make this a weekend thing.” Stay local, wake up properly rested, then spend Saturday exploring Blackheath’s village charm and Greenwich’s historic attractions. Your weekend just got infinitely better.

AEW x NJPW – Forbidden Door: London

Sunday 24 August 2025 | Starts 6 pm
Book tickets

For wrestling fans, this is the big one. All Elite Wrestling meets New Japan Pro-Wrestling in the first UK edition of Forbidden Door – basically Christmas morning for anyone who appreciates a perfectly executed storyline and athletic prowess that shouldn’t be physically possible.

To make this even better, it’s a Bank Holiday, which means no work on Monday and no guilty feelings about staying out late. Book a room, enjoy the show, and skip the madness of travelling back with the crowd. Sometimes the calendar aligns perfectly.

Make Your Night Out Feel Like a Holiday

Already sorted your tickets? The smart move now is booking your stay and transforming a single evening into something that feels like a proper escape.

The Clarendon’s position in Blackheath means you get the best of both worlds – close enough to The O2 that getting there’s easy (we’re just 15 minutes away!), but far enough away that you’re properly removed from the post-gig madness. You’ll wake up in leafy surroundings with a full breakfast in a peaceful location full of historic charm. We’re sure you’ll agree that beats stumbling home at midnight any day.

Book your room with us today, because great gigs deserve great endings!
