BEDROOM CLEANING
The Clarendon has revaluated it’s cleaning procedures in bedrooms, in order to make our bedrooms as clean and safe as possible.
We now uses Diversey Bio products to clean our bedrooms and take the following steps to ensure the safety of both our guests and staff:
Departure
Rooms are not relet for 24 hours. Just prior to a new guest arrival we will full service the bedroom with our new cleaning procedures.
Room serviced or not
We know that many guests would prefer to keep their rooms untouched during their stay, therefore guests who stay two nights or more will be asked if they would like a room serviced or not. Guest linen and towel areas have now been set up for those guests who wish to obtain fresh items and throw away any rubbish.
Ten point high touch
Areas in our bedrooms that are high touch now have a double check sticker system in place to ensure a deep clean takes place.
Remotes
All remotes are now placed in a clear pouch after deep cleaning for guests to open and use untouched. After each guest departs these items are re-cleaned and re-bagged.
Cups and glasses
We have replaced our tea and coffee cups and bathroom mouthwash glass with throw away items, so they are fresh for each visitor.
Cleaning products
We use Diversey D10 – a detergent disinfectant which cleans and disinfects all surfaces prior to guests’ arrival. It conforms to EN passes #14476, #1276, and #1650
Washroom cleaner
We use Diversey Taski Sani 4 in 1 – which disinfects and descales all acid resistant surfaces. It conforms to EN passes #1276, #13697, and #1650
Cleaning materials
Bedroom cleaning cloths are not re-used and are new for each room clean.
Training
All cleaners have been re-trained and meet the above new standards.
FOOD & DRINK
From the 4th July, hotel our restaurant, bar and gardens are ‘socially distanced’ open.
Breakfast
Guests will be offered the choice of having breakfast delivered to their bedroom or eating in the restaurant. Guests will currently be asked to pre-order their breakfast choices for both room service or the restaurant options.
Restaurant & Garden
The Meridian Restaurant will be open from noon until 9pm serving our ‘all day’ menu, and afternoon tea will be served 1-5pm. We will also be serving a Sunday lunch plated menu, replacing our buffet.
Social distancing whilst dining
All of the tables in The Meridian Restaurant and garden are now spaced at least 1.5 metres apart.
Table hygiene
We will no longer be using tablecloths, and our tables and chairs are thoroughly cleaned between customers.
We are using ‘one-use’ paper menus which are disposed of after each customer and safely recycled. We chose these rather than wipeable menus, as they have less environmental impact.
All glasses, crockery and cutlery are washed using high temperature dishwashers.
Bar service
In the early stages of re-opening, our delightful Goffers bar, overlooking the heath, will be open until 10pm for drinks – along with our garden. This will be a table service format only with a limited range. Customers are asked not to return glasses to the bar.
