Britain’s most renowned food market is just a quick hop by train from Blackheath Village. Borough
Market is an explosion of smells, colours and delicious specialities from all around the globe. It

brings together artisan producers – but not just bakers, chefs, brewers and cheesemakers (to
name a few) but also the fishermen and farmers who have reared the animals.
There are also the curators; delis bringing you food and drink from around the world – all hand
picked by people who really care what we are eating.
The stall holders have a real passion for what they do and Borough Market is all about food, and
not just about the eating. They will be happy to talk to you about their produce and provenance,
and you are likely to come away with more than a recipe or two.
