December in Blackheath has its own particular magic, and this year The Clarendon sits right at the heart of it. Whether you’re planning the perfect party night, looking for live music that actually gets people dancing, or simply want Christmas dinner without the washing up, we’ve got your festive season sorted.
Here’s what we’ve got in store…
Christmas Party Nights Are Back!
Some Christmas parties are memorable for all the wrong reasons. Ours work because we’ve figured out the winning formula – excellent food, proper wine, and a dance floor that doesn’t feel awkward to use.
Across four Friday nights – 28th November, then 5th, 12th and 19th December – we transform The Clarendon into your personal Christmas celebration venue. Three-course festive dinner, a bottle of wine between every four people, then dancing in our Westcombe Park Suite until midnight. The bar stays open till 1am because we’re not going to cut the party short just when it’s getting good.
All for £59 per person, a real bargain for a complete evening’s entertainment!

Live Music That Fills the Room
December means live entertainment at The Clarendon, and we’ve lined up performers who actually know how to work a crowd.
Tina T’s Motown Christmas
Tina T arrives on Thursday 11th December, bringing Diana Ross, The Supremes, and Gladys Knight classics to our Meridian Restaurant. Start with prosecco and canapés, enjoy your three-course dinner, then let Tina transport everyone back to Motown’s golden age. The bar stays open until midnight because some nights deserve to go on longer.

Fil Straughan’s Christmas Show
Fil will be back on Thursday 18th December combining velvety vocals with infectious energy that gets even the most reluctant dancers moving. His Christmas performances have become something of a Blackheath tradition, and for good reason.

Buddy Holly’s Final Farewell
Then we’ve got the wonderful Buddy Holly Tribute act on Saturday 20th December, marking the end of an era. After 21 years of bringing us “Peggy Sue,” “Heartbeat,” and classics from Elvis and Johnny Cash, Adam Barnard is set to perform his final Buddy Holly Christmas Show. It’s going to be poignant, special, and tickets for finale performances never last long, so get booking!

Festive Dining Throughout December
Not everyone wants a full evening event, which is why our December dining options cover everything from intimate dinners to family gatherings.
Our festive menu runs Monday to Saturday throughout December – three courses for £36 or two for £28, featuring dishes that taste properly seasonal rather than just Christmas-themed. Our festive afternoon tea happens daily at £26, or £33 with prosecco for those who want to add some bubbles to make the season extra sparkly.
Sundays mean carvery lunches on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th December. Two courses for £32, or three for £40, all served with live piano music that adds exactly the right atmosphere without drowning out conversation.
The Big Days: Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing Day
Christmas Eve sets the tone for the whole holiday. Our dinner begins at 7pm with sparkling Crémant, easing you into the festive spirit before three courses accompanied by gentle piano music. At £49 per person (£30 for children), it’s the perfect way to start Christmas feeling relaxed rather than frantically preparing for the big day.
Christmas Day itself should be about being together, not being stuck in the kitchen. We serve traditional Christmas lunch across three sittings – 1pm, 1:30pm and 2pm – with all the trimmings and none of the stress. Choose the time that works for your family’s Christmas morning rhythm, then simply turn up and enjoy the kind of meal where everyone can actually participate in the conversation.
By Boxing Day, most people are ready for comfort food without any effort. Our carvery delivers exactly that – hearty, satisfying food that requires nothing from you except showing up with an appetite. It’s the perfect way to ease back into normal life while still feeling properly looked after.
